Dirty Block Caused Marcel Dareus Injury

I originally wrote that it looked like Dareus’ injury because his own man crashed into him, but it looks like that only intensified the injury. Edit: Dareus’ ankle was probably already hurt before the low block. The play in the clip is from the 3rd quarter if I’m not mistaken and Dareus took a shot from his teammate in the 2nd quarter.

Here’s a video of the dirty block via @chasegoodbread. (the link goes where it’s supposed to now)

If you notice, the Arkansas lineman seems to do it on purpose. Whether that is the case is or not is an opinion.

He looks at Dareus, who is slowing up because he sees that the tackle has been made, and dives at his ankles.
